Hello Everyone.
Substack suggested an introduction was needed. Where to start and what to say. The meanings of words. All lined up in neat little sentences and paragraphs. Leave one out and it changes everything, put one in and it changes everything. Do we really know where they came from and who added them to our lexicon of language? Did they trick us into saying what they wanted us to say with their obfuscations of the origins of these words? Completing a thought with as few words as possible is the challenge. I don’t want the reader getting lost, or me for that matter, in endless drivel that dilutes its own meaning. There we go. I’ve shown you I know how to use a dictionary, at least the “D” and “L” letters. Anyone who finds this Substack is hopefully looking for information to make sense of this “Twilight Zone” reality we are living through. I will do my best to try and break down a few of the many different scenarios we see unfolding on a daily basis and perhaps give a perspective that you had not considered. The self deprecation will be endless as well as the respect for the readers of this Substack.
In the wee hours of the morning, when most of this writing takes place (There is also a lot of weeing after all of this coffee), sorry, back on track, I will try to be as lucid as possible.
I currently have at least a few dozen or so thoughts that I will be trying to convey over the coming weeks that hopefully will help all of us, myself included, make a little more sense of the madness. Many more will certainly pop into my cranial cavity as we go along. I would like to preface this Substack and my writing with a few thoughts. There will be grammatical errors that I will try to correct before embarrassing myself. I was never that great at English in school, but as I have gotten older, I appreciate the subtle nuances even more. I tend to write in a stream of consciousness style, thus the many compound sentences that will, I am sure, drive you all crazy. Punctuation, now there’s a word. I also hate text editors and all of their political, as well as correct, correctness. I believe that language, has, and is evolving and as long as you get my point, I will have considered this dialogue a success. I am that old dog, okay really old dog, that doesn’t want to be forced to learn new tricks at the point of a cursor.
Those are my apologies. I will do my best to represent my writings and opinions with as much accuracy as I can on the day (or night) that they are written. As I learn how to use this program and do more edits and updates, I will also try to keep my insubordination of the truth to a minimum. Especially since “The Truth” is such a relative term in today’s society, and will certainly change by tomorrow. I do not claim to know it all, or be a no it all (that’s not a typo), nor would I want to be. I’m just another traveler on this journey. Now, on to opinions. We all have different perspectives based on our life experiences. I do have a background in many of the things I will be discussing, even though some of that background is just through cursory contact with the issues.
I would also like to acknowledge the many writers and brilliant minds that I have been exposed too since finding out about Substack and this platform. Individual thank yous will happen but I am choosing not to namedrop or reference them in this introduction. They all deserve our praise and gratitude for their ongoing efforts in the struggle for humanity that is transpiring on the world stage. As previously mentioned, “The Truth” is harder and harder to discern with the flood of information we are bombarded with on a daily basis. I do know how important “Time” is, both yours and mine. I hope after you spend time inside my mind, and my thoughts, that you consider your time well spent.
Lastly, that title. I’m sure over the course of these writings, there will be many musical references to lyrics, bands, plays on words and other references to stimulate your mind. I can’t tell you how many times I listened to the great band “Kansas” and that phenomenal album and song “The Point Of Know Return” without ever paying attention to the double entendre in the wording, meaning and singing of those brilliant lyrics. I even looked at that album cover hundreds of times and never entertained the thought and then one day it hit me. “The Point Of Know Return” not “The Point Of No Return” as the lyrics make the double entendre take full effect on your mind.
Hopefully, together we can reach that “Point Of Know Return” where we never allow the evil, that has invaded our lives, to keep us from knowing about all of their villainy again. To survive, we must all awaken to the reality that we allowed them, through our apathy, to do what they have done to this planet and all of humanity.
Once we know the truth, we cannot unlearn it.
A very wise person once said “When an honest man discovers he is mistaken, he will either cease being mistaken, or cease being honest.”
Shall we go over the edge together?………On to the point of know return.
Until next time……
Namaste
